Psychotherapist in Esher, Surrey

Finding a counsellor can be a confusing and frightening experience. I am a qualified psychoanalytic psychotherapist and counsellor. I offer an initial consultation so that we can explore together what might be the most appropriate way forward for you, whether that might be short-term or long-term therapy.

I believe that most of us from time to time experience difficulties that seem insoluble.  These may be related to family worries, breakdown, bereavement or loss of a relationship, feeling isolated, lonely and depressed, stressed and anxious.  I work with individuals and couples experiencing these difficulties to help them resolve their problems; specialising in those who have suffered with childhood abuse and deprivation

I have been working as a counsellor since 1987 and as a qualified psychoanalytic psychotherapist since 1992.  During this time, I also worked as a counsellor for the Valley Trust Counselling Service, specialising in helping people cope with partnership problems including break-up.  From 1991 to 1997 I also worked as consultant psychotherapist for two Family Centres..

Meeting with a qualified psychotherapist can help identify the issues that may be troubling you.
